"It has been so long the Electricity and Magnetism Kit in schools is not being used for practical activities. This is because of limited teacher’s knowledge about how to use the equipment". This was said by one of the teachers during the training on April 26, 2014 at Pudak Training Center.

The event with the theme of “Electricity and Magnetism Equipment Practices Training in Physics Learning in School” was presented by Dr. Hendro, M.Sc. and attended by participants from Yayasan Parahyangan Satya Kab. Bandung Barat, SMK Nurul Hidayah Cianjur, and SMA Negeri 6 Cirebon.

During the training session, participants performed several experiments related to the sub-subject of electricity and magnetism. The technical manual of basic meter usage and the internal resistance value of voltmeter and ammeter were explained as well. Moreover, participants were also performed a direct measurement of AC voltage from the source by using an analog and a digital multi-meter. Speaker was also explained about how to check whether a wire is broken or not, how to measure the resistance value of a resistor, the Lorentz force concept, and the concept of how to utilize Eddy currents and the electromotive force of electromagnetic induction.

In addition, participants performed lab works by the guidance of Pudak Scientific Team. The lab works include power supply stabilization test, I and U iron core test for transformer efficiency, and measuring the current and voltage in the Ohm's law experiment.

Participants were enthusiastic in doing the experiments. One of the participants said that this training has improved his knowledge on the lab equipment usage and increase the confidence to perform experiments in the school’s lab.

That statement has increased Pudak Scientific’s enthusiasm - through the "Pudak Cinta Guru" movement - to keep striving to be the better partner in education, in accordance with the motto of “Your Partner in Education”, by organizing trainings conducted in Pudak Training Center.
